INVITATION TO THE COMMUNITY PRIZE AWARD FOR WILD ANIMAL PROTECTION

Award categories:

1. Outstanding law enforcement officers: Prizes will be awarded to those officers who directly participate in and handle wildlife cases and cases such as those of the Environmental Police, Forest Protection and provincial forest protection forces, Customs officers, Border Guards, Fisheries Sub-Department officials, and other systematic officials involved in wildlife law enforcement.

2. Excellent judges: Awards will be awarded to judges who have made judgments that have a positive impact on the justice system, contributing to enhancing the effectiveness of law enforcement on wildlife protection.

3. Outstanding Procurator: The award will be awarded to the Procurator who has made outstanding contributions to the process of investigation, investigation, criminal prosecution of wildlife trade and transportation and the proposed harsh sentence. the right people and the right crimes with crimes about wildlife, contributing to enhancing the effectiveness of law enforcement on wildlife protection.

4. Outstanding law enforcement agencies: Prizes will be awarded to law enforcement and legal proceedings that make great efforts to enhance the effectiveness of wildlife protection in Vietnam. Candidates include, but are not limited to, the Court, the Procuracy, the Police Department, the Forest Protection Agency, the Customs Department or the Fisheries Sub-Department.

5. Special award "Outstanding victory - Destroying the line": The award is given to individuals and groups of individuals (in coordination between many relevant functional agencies) that their efforts have made. to contribute to a joint effort to detect, investigate, prosecute and severely adjudicate those who lead transnational wildlife trade lines. Their victory has had a positive impact on the conservation of endangered wildlife globally.

Nomination process

Nominations will start from March 1, 2019 through May 31, 2019.

Candidates may be nominated or nominated by others themselves. The process of submitting nominations / candidates is as follows:
• Step 1: Review the criteria for each nomination category described at the end of this document
• Step 2: Complete the nomination / nomination form
• Step 3: Submit nominations / candidates by post or email

Completed nomination / candidate documents will be sent directly by email or by post to the address

Deadline for submission of nominations / candidates: All nominations / candidates must be submitted to ENV before the end of May 31, 2019, all nominations / candidates submitted after this time will not be considered as Invalid.

Announcing the award: The award ceremony will be held in Hanoi at the end of 2019. Individuals and winners will be notified by ENV in the middle of August 2019. The exact time and venue of the awards ceremony will be announced in mid-November 2019.

Nominee / candidate review process

Candidates will be judged on the criteria and high consensus of the Award Board regarding the merit of receiving the award. This is a highly competitive award and the evaluation process is as follows:

• Preliminary assessment

ENV and Panelists will briefly review the profiles of all candidates and select a short list of candidates who meet the criteria set out.

• Evaluated by the Panel of Judges
The Examination Council will review the profile of each nominee / candidate to select the best individuals / entities to be honored based on the voting results of the Council. In some cases, the Panel will contact the nominee / candidate again for additional information during the review process.

Composition of the Examination Council
The Examination Council is composed of representatives of the following agencies and organizations:
• Center for Nature Education (ENV);
• Representatives of related ministries;
• A number of national and international conservation organizations
• Representatives of several Embassies.

Individual / unit won the award
ENV will notify the winners / winners by early July 2019. These delegates will be warmly invited by ENV to the Award Ceremony held at the end of 2019 in Hanoi. Winning individuals / units need to work closely with ENV in the process of collecting photos or making short film introductions and collecting additional materials to prepare for the Award Ceremony.
