Education for Nature – Vietnam (ENV) is currently accepting applications for a number of positions to help us meet the needs of our expanding nature conservation activities in 2008. These positions include:
Primate Program Officer
Help protect some of the world’s most endangered primates in the wild. ENV is looking for a strong candidate with scientific research skills to develop and coordinate primate conservation work in Vietnam with our international partner organization for primate work, Conservation International. Conduct field surveys and monitor wild populations of endangered primates. Analyze results and coordinate implementation of conservation interventions aimed at protecting primates in the wild. The primate conservation program is a new initiative at ENV and a unique opportunity for the right candidate to develop a successful program aimed at protecting gibbons and langurs in the wild, utilizing the combined resources of ENV’s existing awareness, enforcement, and advocacy programs to achieve genuine results.

Website and Communications Specialist
ENV is looking for a young and enthusiastic website administrator to help manage our Vietnamese and English language websites, and further develop ENV’s E-communications capabilities. The successful candidate will have experience working with Dreamweaver, knowledge of administering forums, E-distribution lists, and conducting online surveys, and developing new and creative approaches to reaching and communicating with our internet-based audience.

Mobile Education Unit Officer
ENV is looking for a male staff member to join ENV’s Mobile Education Unit. The Unit travels nine to 15 days each month to protected areas, universities and other locations across Vietnam to carry out environmental awareness activities and training for school children, university students, local residents, protected areas staff, teachers and other local groups.

Turtle Field Officer
Help protects the Vietnamese Pond Turtle (Mauremys annamesis)- one of the endemic species of Vietnam. Asian Turtle Program (ATP) is looking for a strong candidate with scientific research skills to develop and coordinate turtle conservation work in Central Vietnam. Conduct field surveys monitor wild turtle populations and engage communities. ATP is a new initiative at ENV and a unique opportunity for the right candidate to develop a successful program aimed at protecting Mauremys in the wild, utilizing the combined resources of ENV’s existing awareness, enforcement, and advocacy programs to achieve genuine results.
